‘Sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds; Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds’ (Shakespeare)
I’ve been so pissed off for so long because of this:
By beloved bike just hanging on the garden fence. I have been fuming….so today I found out why the bikes have been chained to the fence. And it is because hubby is not much of a risk taker neither is he on the same wavelength as me with regards to adventurousness. He chained my bike because I always ride to the studio and he is terrified I could get knocked over by a motorist!!! Whaaaa???? (Okay…I understand his concerns but it’s a bit much…I do not need to be mollycoddled). He won’t come with me to carnival cos it’s too crowded…he won’t go cycling…cos it’s too dangerous…really? Nah…’no can do!’
So today I took my bike down from where it had been chained up, washed it, pumped the tyres, took it for a short spin and put it in the shed…where it would be safe from the elements and not have ivy growing all over it. I intend to go cycling later on today!
I’m sure you will take appropriate caution.
Yeah…I will 😘😘
Good for you. You can not expect to live life without risk and cycling is a wonderful and embracing experience.
Thank you!!!! 😘
