‘if’ is such an interesting, hidden in plain sight word, pregnant with meaning. You can make a bucket list of ifs…playing scenarios on a reel in your head and that bucket would spill over with the possibilities you have imagined. ‘If’ can be daunting, forcing one to second guess every possible action or reaction, however, placing ‘so what’ before ‘if’ can be exhilarating, tipping the scales in one’s favour because the imagined outcome would no longer dictate one’s actions.

Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism. 'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries? View all posts by designwithflair
Really wonderful post. I totally agree. The second we say that magical word, “if” we’re off and running. So true.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Paul 😘😘
