Very smug with myself right now. Did not get caught in the flash floods!
Cannot count number of times I’ve been caught…so today is the smuggest I have felt in a long time…on a rainy day. I’m like ‘oh you got caught in the rain…no umbrella…sorry mine’s too small to share. Smug. So very smug. And I love it (not the flash floods…but the handy umbrella) actually tell a lie …I do love the flash floods cos of my umbrella. (bit sorry for anyone who got caught in flash floods today or any other day…just a teeny bit condescending sorry…go get an umbrella and keep it handy…cos the rain has come out to play and might be here all summer!! š

'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
