Market stalls are perfect for honing ‘the gift of the gab’. Run a stall long enough and you can talk the hind legs off a donkey. Brimming over with confidence, you simply slip into role when behind a stall. It’s quite phenomenal and the opposite end of the spectrum in comparism to galleries. Market stalls are upfront and personal. Beautiful way to learn to be personable, bold and daring all at once; not too mention a high risk taker. And that’s the beauty of the humble market stall!
celebrating the spontaneity of scribble and the energy of abstract expressionism
Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism.
'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
