I was up till 4am this morning….cutting and twisting metal into rings. The body follows where passion leads. Now I am knackered….need to sleep.
Little rings made from clothes hangers.
I made 36 rings from 4 hangers. Getting stuff ready for a mixed media piece. It is quite labour intensive …..but I love the scenic route….. I have always enjoyed doing things the long way round. Using ready made rings won’t cut it for me. Simply had to have sore hands and no sleep. Still thoroughly enjoying the process!
Probably need at least 100 rings….so 36 from 4 hangers is not a bad start!

'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
