Intense but exhilarating…that’s how I’ll describe my course! Absolutely loving it but the sleepless nights as project hand in days loom…. definitely not what the doctor ordered!
The beautiful thing about an MFA is that art is all around us ….charity shops are great for art books! Gallery visits are such fun research.
Never knew what discussing art critically meant until now! I’m beginning to focus on what I see… instead of skipping to what I think a piece means. It really is eye opening. Doing a masters in any subject definitely takes up your time but doing it in a subject you really like…. that’s a rollercoaster! I find myself thinking of art all day every day…. not a bad thing….just excessive with good reason.
I need to pace myself. I did an all-nighter yesterday just to hand in an illustrated project proposal…. not a walk in the park! Would not recommend all-nighters! I’m learning so much about myself on this course….. my resilience is off the charts and sometimes my mind goes a million miles a minute.
Note to self: reduce image sizes in photoshop before adding to document….excessively large files won’t upload…just give you so much headache and work!
