What makes you feel nostalgic?

I hardly ever feel nostalgic. I’m very done and dusted! However, I’m quite fluid in my approach….and if I miss doing something…you bet I’m going to do it!

I love moving forward and trying new things….I may revisit old things I once loved doing….but just for the fun of it!

I can’t change people….so there’s no love lost for past relationships…..I can be set in my ways as well as fluid ….a very interesting combination….making me an itsy bit unpredictable but ….I don’t do regrets. I am an ardent believer in work hard; play harder; love hardest….every day is a new beginning….new opportunity to explore and learn. When you love and play hard….those memories become a tapestry of your life…woven into the fabric of your being…,never leaving you.

Nostalgia is a teensy bit overrated.

Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism. 'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
