Sometimes I wish I had a ‘dresser’….especially when I go clothes shopping….someone who could get me a size up or down of an outfit I’m trying on whilst in the changing room cos seriously clothes shopping can be soooo tedious. Getting a perfect…(good fit) for ever changing body shapes can be such a chore.
I went clothes shopping recently and seriously wanted to walk out the changing room in the buff just to get a size down. In that moment I wished there were women only shopping events where women could parade the store in knickers (whist using the changing room) just to find the near perfect fit.
Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism.
'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
