When I was a child my dad used to always say ‘if wishes were horses beggars would ride’. I say wishes are horses and beggars do ride. It really is amazing what you can accomplish if you put your mind to it as per thinking positively about your ‘vision’. Things have a way of falling into place (thank God) …what often seems a pipe dream can become reality. It’s all in your mindset.
I really do not think any harm ever came from thinking positively. Even as a child, I remember scribbling on a calendar ‘better days are ahead’ and my dad praising me for it. I was shocked ….I thought I’d get a scolding for scribbling on the calendar…I got scolded for scribbling on walls. I was even more surprised because my dad seemed so adverse to wishes (with all the ‘beggars would ride’ malarkey). Imagine my joy when as a teenager I came across the ‘gutter ….looking at the stars’ quote. Definitely put paid to ‘wishes, horses and beggars’.
