What do you mean ‘shoo’?

If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

I’d ban the word ‘shoo’…. I mean what is that? I find ‘shoo’ so offensive. I remember hearing someone ‘shoo’ kids away and I literally wanted to scream. Don’t know this person but the evils I gave …. must have felt me glaring cos this person’s demeanour softened….suddenly started trying to placate the kids….

I’m like why shoo in the first place?

Might be an old school word….to me..it’s a very annoying old school word.

I remember being shooed by a teacher when I was in boarding school….I got in so much trouble that day….cos my fourteen year old self totally blanked that teacher. It was as though she did not exist…I got a slap for my rebellion. Didn’t make a difference to my teenage self….shoo me and get all the disrespect that’s coming your way.

Now as an adult that word ‘shoo’….I just can’t…irritates me to no end!
