Blast from the past….

Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.

Very first high school reunion…..hadn’t seen any of these girls now women in ages! Probably last saw any of them just over 30 years ago!

A friend persuaded me to attend…..she wasn’t even there yet…..hubby dropped me off and I tried to persuade him to stay! Kept saying I didn’t recognise any of these people….didn’t want to be there. I was even tearful!

Some women came up to me introducing themselves…..they knew and remembered me….I couldn’t recognise any of them. I could recollect some names though.

Back story ….I went to an all girls boarding secondary school….it’s a bit of a blur….I remember being homesick a lot of the time.

Funny enough….the experience of meeting up with people I barely remember has made me a lot more comfortable in my own skin and I don’t shy away as much as I used to…..

Next hurdle…..public speaking…..once I tackle that I’m going to rule the world! (ha ha)
