What would your life be like without music?

Oh my days…I can’t even begin to imagine a life without music! It’s the soundtrack to my life. Music wakes me up….keeps me grounded….strengthens my faith….keeps me active.

Life without music will be a whisper in the wind….silent….doldrums….a zombified presence seeping from seconds into minutes into hours; days; weeks; months; years….unheard. Stagnation personified.

My life without music……I need to feel the vibrations….even if I don’t hear the tune. My phone is on silent but always on vibrate. My alarm, my ring tones….music.

I always have a song in my heart…..even when nothing is playing….I sing to myself….. I even sing in my head….life without music would be an illusion.

Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism. 'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
