Do you see yourself as a leader?

Not really….well….a leader of myself….I definitely never follow….cos I like to do my own thing.

I’m not interested in anyone following me either…..I detest being copied…..I love standing out….I’m not great with rules….definitely nonconformist.

I love initiating stuff and don’t mind if others follow my initiative….but not fazed if they don’t ….

I am very proactive and don’t get reactive people….why wait for something to happen when you could preempt and attempt to prevent?

So I’m a leader of myself…..following my own beat….tweaking the rules to suit myself.

100% nonconformist….if nonconformity is leadership….then I probably am a leader…..

Not really interested in influencing others….not easily influenced. I’m not anarchist…..I simply go against the grain. I question everything…..

As long as the rules make sense I’m in….if they don’t I’m finding a way to tweak them….

Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism. 'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
