What does your ideal home look like?

My ideal home would have a big sprawling inbuilt art studio with lots of skylights…..there would be skylights in every room….with automated screens that could be activated for privacy.

There would be regency windows in the living room. The kitchen would lead into the dining area….only separated by a wine bar. There would be a conservatory filled with pink moscato, red wine and disaronno.

The dining table would be able to seat at least 10 people for impromptu dinner parties…..

I’m into foliage….so obviously I would have trailing plants…..

There would be no TVs in the bedrooms….(unlike my home now….hubby loves massive TVs)…taking up all the wall space!!!!

The whole house would be light and airy. There would be a quiet room…insulated….a sensory room. Especially for my goddaughter….somewhere to reset.

There would be a DJ studio….just because (actually cos my son loves spinning discs…) and it looks so fun!!!!

There would be a courtyard!!!!! My hubby loves open house and throwing parties!

Let me not get started on the driveway…the garden…the patio…

My ideal home would be an outdoorsy sanctuary ….playful yet safe….homely and open.

Ah….one day…

Spontaneity is the watchword that informs my art practice. My artwork celebrates the energy of abstract expressionism. 'why not?' underlines my creative process. Forget the box! Its obsolete...it's all about whatever shape you want to throw on that dance floor! The process drives my practice!! For me, work well done is work I have thoroughly enjoyed making...work that has made me think, sweat, cry, scream and come back for more!!! Work that gets my back up; pushes me...gives me cause for doubt. Makes me push in order for 'why not?' to become possible. Boundaries? What boundaries?
